MY INSPIRING PERSON

            Hello, my name is Ririn and now i will tell you about someone who inspired me to write more and more because she is a writer. Her name is Dewi Lestari Simagunsong. Her nick name is Dee Lestari. She is a poem and prose-writer, songwriter and singer. Dee was born in Bandung, West Java on 20 January 1976; she was the fourth of five children born to a religius Christian family. After graduating high school, she attended Parahyangan Catholic University and graduated wiyh a degree in International Relations.

 

She wrote a lot of books, and i have read almost of all her books and i think none of them is not exceptional. Almost of all her books is a novel or poem-prose anthology. Honestly, i like read many kind of book genres, but i very like poem anthology. And i think her poem is very nudge with her beautiful combination words.

Her words can make anyone who read feel the emotions that she want to be sent in her book which on average is about the love story, she conveyed her message in a different way. She always put scintific things, with the genius and beautiful language, but not excessive.

In 2001, Dee released her first novel, titled Kesatria, Putri dan Bintang Jatuh (The Knight, Princess, and the Falling Stars), it is also firstbook in Supernova series, she continued with Akar (Roots); Petir (Thunder) and Partikel (Particle). That books was very amazing, they are about love story, urban life, science, religy, and many things.

Complicated, but quite briliant. I loved the touch of poem in her novels. The poem make us to think about what is the meaning of the content, becase Dee can take any themes and imagery to convey. I really like poem, i love to read poem, and sometimes i make a poem. And Dee’s poem is inspired me a lot.

My Last Holiday

My Ied Mubarak Holiday

Actually, on the last Ied Mubarak’s Holiday  i don’t go to anywhere. Before the Ied Mubarak, i just stayed at home and doing my routine activity in Ramadhan like fasting and other activities. I helped my mother to make some cookies and cake. I like cooking, so i very enjoyed it. One day before the Ied Mubarak day, i and my mother were making some Ketupat. Ketupat is like rice cake boiled in a rhombus-shaped packet of plaited young coconut leaves. And we make beef curry to eat with Ketupat.

Usually, in every Ied Mubarak  i always go to my Granmother's house at Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat and stay there in a few days. I and my family will visiting my big family like my aunt, my uncle, and my cousins for silaturahim. But, because of my grandmother has moved to Bandung, exactly to my aunt’s home. And i just have to walking for a few minutes to go there.

My Granmother has moved to Bandung because my cousin that stay with her since she was a child, school in Bandung now. My Grandfather passed away a long ago, so they are stay just tandem. Her name is Dhini Liestari, she is one year older than me. Now, she is at garade 12. Her mother, exaclty my mother’s sister is the youngest offspring. My aunt passed away a long ago, so my cousins grow up with my Grandmother.

So, when Ied Mubarak, my big family will visiting my Grandmother to Bandung. In last in Mubarak, my home and my aunt’s home were very crowded.
